Sarah Drake, MS, RD, LD

Sarah Drake MS, RD, LD has been a practicing registered dietitian (RD) in Texas for more than 11 years. Along with her husband Matthew, Sarah settled in Nacogdoches in 2012 and has worked in clinical, wellness, and higher education settings since that time. Sarah is currently a clinical instructor and the director of the Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) at Stephen F. Austin State University and a consultant dietitian at Nacogdoches Women’s Services.

Upon trying to conceive, Sarah became particularly interested in the women’s health, especially in prenatal/postnatal nutrition, nutrition during lactation, and prevention and lifestyle treatment of pregnancy- related conditions such as gestational diabetes. Sarah began working for Dr. Kyle McMorries in 2016. She transitioned to working with the team at Nacogdoches Women’s Services in 2017. Sarah specializes in lifestyle management of gestational diabetes.

Sarah is married to her college sweetheart, Matthew. Together Sarah and Matthew have two sons, Theodore (age 5) and Benjamin (age 3), and they are thrilled to announce the addition of baby #3 in June 2021!
