Shannon is a certified breastfeeding educator and a birth and postpartum doula. She also is a full-time homeschool teacher to her daughter and son (each of whom she exclusively breastfed) and wife to her husband of 13 years.
Shannon is passionate about assisting mothers as they transition into motherhood and helps families during the first postpartum weeks. She deeply believes being a breastfeeding educator and doula is a calling on her life. Working with mothers and newborns is something Shannon truly enjoys and has been doing so for more than 16 years.
When she’s not with mothers at Nacogdoches Women’s Services, you can find Shannon watching “Call The Midwife” or re-runs of “The Office” and the 90s drama “Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman.” She also loves traveling, especially when it includes visits to the beach and camping.
Shannon is originally from San Antonio and her husband grew up in Lufkin. They enjoy the “little town/big-city feel” here and claim East Texas as their forever home. Shannon loves people; enjoys making others laugh, has a heart to serve others, and is excited to meet you soon!
